PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — I’ve got sunshine on a rainy day….as long as it is warm.

In the wake of a memorable winter, it does not take a lot to make us happy, weather-wise!

Every time I mention “temperatures in the 60’s”, to my coworkers in the newsroom, they smile!

What will they do when we hit 70 degrees this weekend?

Before we get to the warm weekend, a little rain must fall – a cold front will move into the area Friday. Clouds will increase and there will be some afternoon showers mainly north and west, but we can’t rule them out anywhere! It will be mild with a high of 69 degrees.

Saturday will start with some clouds, but sunshine will be increasing. High temperatures will be around 70 degrees.

This will be the first 70 degree day since last November!

A southwest wind Sunday and Monday will push the mercury even higher – temperatures will top out in the mid-70′s both days. But just when it starts to feel like summer, a strong cold front will blast through Tuesday with rain and wind, and temperatures on Wednesday will struggle to get to the mid-50′s!

Have a great weekend!

Kathy
