Above Average Warmth To Continue
By Katie Fehlinger
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — These are the forecasts I love to deliver. Nice, warm, sunny conditions are generally the story in Philadelphia for the majority of the next five days, with just enough activity to keep things interesting!
High pressure continues to rule our weather pattern Thursday, and as its core slides east, a persistent southwesterly flow takes over to help our temperatures climb high enough to flirt with 70 degrees. (You’ll also notice the breeze.)
Friday features the passage of a weak cold front, so we’ll have to deal with clouds and showers, especially toward evening. That front will NOT live up to its name, rather we actually warm up as skies clear for more sunshine this weekend.
Speaking of the weekend, it looks pretty fantastic. Under mainly sunny skies, we’re shooting for 70 degrees Saturday, and a high of 74 Sunday! The first day of the new work week still offers up some sunshine as we await a new storm slated to arrive Tuesday.
