True Taste Of Spring For Philly

By Katie Fehlinger

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- We've got some pretty pleasant weather to look forward to, though some hiccups come with it.

High pressure is generally keeping control Wednesday, so we get more sun than anything with seasonable highs in the low 60's. However a chilly northwest wind may make it feel a little cool outside (that's Hiccup #1).

Then a persistent southwesterly flow kicks in, allowing temperatures to climb well above average through the upcoming weekend. We'll flirt with 70 or actually hit it Thursday through Sunday! It also means we keep a pretty stiff breeze around on Thursday (that's Hiccup #2).

Hiccup #3: a new cold front crosses the Delaware Valley late Friday into Saturday. So, we'll likely have to dodge some showers toward Friday night, possibly lingering into Saturday morning.

The 2nd half of the weekend looks pleasant at this point. Expect some sun Sunday with a comfortable high of 70 degrees.

The only question: who's hosting the barbecue?

Enjoy the warmth

Katie
