PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has seized yet another illegal khat shipment at the international courier express facility near Philadelphia International Airport.

Officials say the latest haul totaled 100 lbs and was destined for a Chicago address.

The khat has a street value of about $30,000.

Four smaller boxes inside two parcels yielded bundled khat, and CBP officers also seized 200 tablets of Methyl-1-Testosterone and 200 tablets of Oxymetholone, classified as schedule III anabolic steroids. The parcels the pills were discovered in were labeled “cosmetics” and arrived April 1st.

Recently, customs officials have made several khat seizures at the same Philadelphia airport area plant.
