What's Cooking on 1060: Healthy Living, Oyster Shucking, April Fool Pranking

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) --   A new Sweetgreen restaurant has opened at 924 Walnut Street, in center city Philadelphia.   General manager David Lopez says the chain, with locations up and down the Atlantic seaboard, supports a healthy-lifestyle philosophy:

"We serve salads in our restaurants, yes, but we have this concept where if you take a passion for something -- for us it's serving healthy food and caring about our communities -- and Sweetgreen comes alive!"

Little Baby's Ice Cream, at 2311 Frankford Avenue, is hosting an April Fool's Day exhibit at their ice cream shop on April 1st, the same day they reveal some crazy new ice cream flavors.

Owner Jeffrey Ziga wasn't ready to reveal anything about the new ice creams, but he did share one of the pranks planned for this coming Tuesday.

"We may also be featuring the chocolate and caramel sauces in the ketchup and mustard bottles, because that tends to freak people out," he said with a chuckle.

The fifth annual Oyster House oyster-shucking competition takes place on Saturday, April 5th.

"So the first few rounds are the professional shuckers, and we have professional shuckers from all around the Philadelphia area competing," says Sam Mink, owner of the Oyster House, 1516 Sansom Street.  "And after the rounds of the professional shuckers, we'll move on to the ameteur shuckers."
