MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) — Authorities say a 19-year-old Willingboro man was arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found Wednesday afternoon in a Burlington County park (See Previous Story).

Abdullah H. Sheriff, 19, of Willingboro, was charged with one count of Murder for the death of 21-year-old Abenego Wesseh, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities say Sheriff was also charged with Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.

Wesseh’s body was found along a paved path in a wooded section of Fairmount Park in Willingboro Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say the investigation revealed that Wesseh was shot at the park late Tuesday night and the firearm believed to be the murder weapon was recovered.

According to authorities, an autopsy determined the manner of death to be homicide and the cause to be a gunshot wound to the head.

Sheriff was taken into custody Thursday afternoon at Willingboro High School, where authorities say he is enrolled. Bail will be set Friday during Sheriff’s first appearance in Superior Court.

The motive is still being investigated.
