Poll: Majority Of Americans Feel U.S. Shouldn't Intervene In Ukraine Crisis

NEW YORK, NY (CBS) – Most Americans don't feel our country should intervene in the Ukraine situation.

That's according to a new poll from CBS News, which reveals 61% of Americans think the U.S. doesn't have any responsibility to do something about the conflict between Russian and Ukraine – nearly double the 32% who feel we should.

Furthermore, 65% don't think the United States should provide military aid or equipment to Ukraine. Just 26% think we should.

CBS News says the poll reflects previous polls on similar situations, such as in Syria or Bosnia.

The poll was conducted on behalf of CBS News by the Media, Pa. - based company Social Science Research Solutions in March 2014. More than 1,000 adults nationwide participated.
