DeSean Jackson Says On Instagram That He Talked To Chip Kelly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There have been no shortage of trade rumors involving Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson in recent weeks. What there hasn't been much of, is official comment from either Jackson or the team.
Jackson seemed to allude to the rumors on Monday night when he posted the following on his Instagram account:
Good to Talk to BIg Chip today !! Say or hear what ya want !! The Picture speaks for itself !! Winner BirdGaNg !!
Jackson posted a picture of himself and Kelly taken during 2013 Training Camp. Jackson used his Instagram account to address his desire for a new contract, shortly after the season ended.
Les Bowen of philly.com reports that Kelly did in fact speak to Jackson, and the chat was a positive one.
A source close to Jackson said Kelly told his star wideout "don't worry about anything and keep working hard and be ready for camp."
Tuesday afternoon, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer told Ike Reese and Glen Macnow on 94WIP that Jackson is calling fellow teammates and informing them he will be on the Eagles in 2014.
"I got some information, from a source," McLane said. "Jackson is calling up teammates and telling them that he's staying. He's happy and he's staying. Apparently that is after speaking with Kelly, as you referenced with the Instagram, or tweet that he had. He was implying that he spoke to Chip."
