UPDATE: Police ID 2 Killed In Fiery Crash In Bucks County

By Steve Beck, Al Novack and Matt Rivers

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- Police have identified two people killed in a fiery car crash in Bucks County Friday morning.

Buckingham Township Police have identified the victims as 30-year-old Nicole Bereshny of Hatfield and 50-year-old Yan Zou of Jamison.

The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. along Route 202 (York Road) near Ash Mill Road in Buckingham Township.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene shortly after the accident where it showed two cars that appeared to have collided head-on and both burst into flames.

Firefighters and police arrived quickly, but could not do anything -- gasoline-fueled flames keeping them away.

Investigators say two people -- a male and a female -- were killed in the fiery crash.

Police say several people driving by the accident tried to help the people trapped inside. A few of those passers-by, CBS 3 is told, were actually firefighters themselves, but were unsuccessful due to the heat and heavy fire.

"There was nothing anyone could do. Just impossible," witness Stuart Abramson said. "Tragedy. Poor people, you know, they were trapped inside. It is just a horrible situation."

The road was closed for an extended time as crews cleaned-up and the accident was investigated.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact Buckingham Police at 215-794-8812.
