Camden Man Pleads Guilty To Multiple Rapes In 2012

CAMDEN (CBS) – Camden County Prosecutor William Faulk announced that a Camden man charged with several rapes, including two against teenage girls, has pleaded guilty. (See Previous Story)

Twenty-nine-year-old Kevin Cleveland plead guilty to kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose on Tuesday.

He is expected to be sentenced to a term of 28 years incarceration. Also, he must serve 85 percent before becoming eligible for parole.

Cleveland will also have his name added to the Megan's Law list of sex offenders.

Cleveland admitted in court to four incidents.

On January 17, 2012 he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl while armed with a gun in Farnham Park.

One week later, he sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman while armed with a gun in the same location.

On February 11, 2012 he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in Farnham Park. He also threatened to stab her, left her naked in the park, only to return and sexually assault her again.

He also admitted in court to a January 2, 2012 robbery of a woman in Farnham Park. This victim was not sexually assaulted.

His sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
