Police ID Victim In Fatal Car Accident Near Walt Whitman Bridge

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — According to police, around 7:05 a.m. Monday morning crews responded to a car accident on I-676 Westbound near the Walt Whitman Bridge.

State troopers were forced to break the victim’s car window in order to get her out of the vehicle.

Authorities attempted CPR on the female and then transported her to Cooper Hospital where she was pronounced dead around 8:00 a.m.

Police have identified the victim as 58-year-old Kathleen Cockerill.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.
