By Melony Roy
Facebook revamps Pages
Facebook has revamped Pages, changing the appearance for both Page visitors and Page admins to what the company is calling a more “streamlined” look.
Now, all posts from Pages will appear in the right-hand column, the left-hand column will house information about businesses such as maps, business hours, website URLs, as well as photos and videos. It will also be easier access to information including page likes, post reach, and notifications and messages.
The changes will begin rolling out this week.
Facebook’s COO launches new campaign
Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg has started a campaign to ban the word “bossy” because it deters girls from becoming leaders.
The goal of the “ban bossy” campaign is to help girls and women feel more confident and comfortable as leaders.
It has support from women like Beyoncé, Jane Lynch, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Girl Scouts USA CEO Anna Maria Chávez.
