Phila. Pair Charged in Connection With Credit Card, Purse Thefts at Area Malls

CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- Cherry Hill police have arrested two people in connection with a series of credit card fraud cases at a number of different malls.

Police were alerted to the situation last Wednesday, Febraury 26th, when a suspicious female was spotted in a Target store at the Hillview Center shopping complex, in Cherry Hill.

Police caught up with Paula Sanders and Maurice Moore at the Cherry Hill Mall a short time later. The two were questioned about a number of credit card thefts over the last month.

As a result, Sanders is charged with theft and credit fraud.

Sanders, 49, of Manton Street in South Philadelphia, and Moore, 56, of South 59th Street in West Philadelphia, are charged with stealing wallets, credit cards, and purses.

Sanders was being held in the Camden County Jail in lieu of $27,500 bail.  Moore is charged with conspiracy to commit theft.  He was released on his own recognizance.
