Social Media Today: Paper Update, Twitter Hack?, Facebook Messanger
By Melony Roy
Facebook updates Paper
Facebook has updated its Paper app to encourage more sharing. Previously, the app restricted sharing of posts with only your Facebook friends. Now, Paper lets you share posts by e-mail, text, or Facebook message.
The update also allows users to turn off sound effects and create posts in other languages.
Twitter accounts not hacked
If you received a password reset email from Twitter, saying your account may have been compromised, don’t worry, it was a mistake. Twitter sent out another email apologizing for telling thousands of users their accounts may have been hacked. The mass reset was accidentally triggered by the company itself.
Facebook Messenger finally arrives on Windows Phone
Hoping to close the app gap with rival platforms, Microsoft is slowly getting more big name apps on its Windows Phone. The Facebook messaging app is now available for download in the Windows Phone Store.
