Another Frigid Start...Slow To Warm

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wednesday morning will greet us with temperatures in the teens in Philadelphia, some single digits in our suburbs.

However, the afternoon will not be as harsh, highs in the 30s will feel great, relatively speaking.

Late this week a strong system off the coast of the Carolinas will try to move north, but all guidance pushes it out sea and limit its impact on our area.  Portions of South Jersey and Delaware could get brushed by this system late Thursday with light snow or rain. The wind will pick up down the shore as well, NNE Winds will be sustained 20-25mph.  Inland, we will have a cool NNE breeze, 10-15mph.

Finally, by the start of the weekend, temperatures will return to normal levels.  The mercury will rise to 50 on Saturday with some sunshine!

Also, don't forget, Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, so we "Spring" our clocks ahead Saturday night/Sunday morning - this means sunset Sunday will be near 7 o'clock.  Our progress is slow, but it will eventually warm-up.

Just think...there are only 15 days until Spring!
