Flower Show Provides Taste Of Spring

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - For many people at the Flower Show, this is the winter that can't go away soon enough.
Cathy from Burlington, New Jersey says walking through the doors was literally a breath of fresh air, and she can see the light of spring at the end of the tunnel:
"A huge light. Really and truly. It's beautiful in here. There's a lot of architecture, very exotic flowers. There's a lot going on. I feel like I want to sit down and eat a meal because of the table."
A margarita or three under the pergola doesn't sound like a bad idea either.
Other folks who spoke with KYW Newsradio were also thinking about better days ahead and not the snow:
"I'm not thinking about that. I'm enjoying spring and summer right now."
"Yes. It's like being in spring. The whole place is like going to a whole place for vacation."
"It's just like a breath of fresh air from the winter blah. You come in and see all the awesome colors."
If you're looking for an escape, the flower show runs through the weekend. Just be prepared to deal with big crowds of people who have the same agenda.
