1 Dead, 1 Injured In I-295 Crash In Carneys Point
CARNEYS POINT Twp., N.J., (CBS) – Investigators say one person is dead and another person is hospitalized after an accident on I-295 in Carneys Point Township, Salem County.
The crash was reported around 6:45 p.m. on I-295 southbound near mile marker 3.
One vehicle landed in the woods. The other flipped onto its side.
New Jersey State Police say a vehicle traveling northbound on I-295 crossed the median and struck a vehicle in the southbound lanes.
Chopper 3 was over the scene as police and multiple medic units responded to the accident.
There is no word on the injured victim's condition at this time.
The accident is under investigation.
