More algorithm changes
Facebook is changing its news feed algorithm again. Businesses, brands, or fan pages can now tag other brand pages and those posts will appear in both feeds.
The change could expand the reach of brands on Facebook by getting their content into the news feeds of users who haven’t “liked” their page.
Reddit tests new live reporting feature
Hoping to streamline its community’s reporting ability, Reddit is testing a live reporting feature called “Liveupdate.”
It will allow users to create and update live blogs about breaking news events in real-time as a kind of Reddit-based news reporter.
Facebook drops messenger for Windows
Facebook is shutting down its stand alone messenger for Windows.
The announcement came in the form of a notification to users within the app that said ” We’re sorry, but we can no longer support Facebook Messenger for Windows, and it will stop working on March 3, 2014.”
Windows users can still access their messages on Facebook.com
