Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Northeast Philadelphia late Wednesday night.

The shooting happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Anchor Street in the city's Summerdale section.

Police were called to the scene and when they arrived, they found a male in an alleyway with gunshot wounds to his back and leg.

The man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.

Investigators believe the shooter may have exchanged gunfire with another individual. The shooter remains at large.
