PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police in Philadelphia are searching for the suspect who stole several Apple Macbook laptops from the Southwark School in Wharton.

Police say that on Feb. 24 around 5:30 p.m., an unknown male was captured on surveillance video entering the school, which is located at 1835 S 9th Street. The man was wheeling a suitcase behind him.

Once inside, the suspect went inside a computer room on the third floor, where he stole eight computers before fleeing to the schoolyard.

While in the yard, police say the suspect suddenly became startled and re-entered the school before exiting through the 9th Street doors.

He was last seen on 9th Street.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5’10” and 6’0” tall with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans, black sneakers, a Geoff cap and a dark-colored coat with the hood pulled tight.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
