High School Fire Ruled Arson In Newark, Del.

NEWARK, Del., (CBS) – The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office says a fire at a Newark high school has been ruled as arson.

The fire was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday at Glasgow High School in the 1900 block of South College Avenue.

State fire marshal deputies were called to the scene and determined that the fire started in a second floor bathroom and was intentionally set.

Students were evacuated and no one was injured.

Investigators say damage is estimated at about $5,000.

The incident remains under investigation.
