One Injured In Wissinoming Hazmat Situation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One person was injured in a reported hazmat situation in Wissinoming.

A large barrel of nitric acid, an extremely corrosive chemical, was knocked over and spilled on one person at 5101 Comly Street. That person sustained chemical burns to the neck and face.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital's burn unit in stable condition.

The spill has been contained and there are no other injuries.
