Prosecutors To Seek Death Penalty Against Lehigh County Man Charged With Fatally Shooting Wife

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) – Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against a Lehigh County man charged with shooting his wife.

On Dec. 17, 2013 37-year-old Win Min Htut reportedly shot his wife, Thida Myint, outside their Bethlehem home after an argument.

Police say that at the time of the alleged murder, Htut was subject to a court order restricting his behavior towards the victim.

About 15 minutes after the shooting, Htut was arrested at a convenience store in east Allentown.

Htut is facing charges of first-degree murder.
