PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With yet another storm impacting the region, the Philadelphia Parking Authority is reinstating its $5 emergency parking rate.

The PPA says the $5 rate went into effect at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at select Center City garages.

The garages included are:

AutoPark at JFK (16th & JFK)
AutoPark at Independence Mall (5th & Market Streets)
AutoPark at Jefferson (10th & Ludlow Streets)
AutoPark at the Gallery (10th & Filbert Streets)
Auto Park at Old City (2nd & Sansom Streets)
8th & Filbert Streets Garage

To receive the discounted rate, customers need to bring their ticket and pay at the PPA Management Office in each garage.

The PPA also says that while snow emergency and safety violations will be enforced once the snow begins, meter and time limit violations will not be. Snow Emergency information and a map of Snow Emergency routes can be found at here. Cars left on Snow Emergency routes will be relocated to accommodate plowing operations. If you car is relocated, call 215-686-SNOW to find it.
