HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Alex Mitola had 25 points and helped Dartmouth erase a seven-point halftime deficit on Friday night to defeat Penn 67-58.

Dartmouth trailed 28-21 at halftime, but Mitola made three 3-pointers in a 76 second span to give Dartmouth a 32-31 lead just 3 minutes into the second.

John Golden had 15 points and eight rebounds and Kevin Crescenzi added 11 points for the Big Green (4-12, 1-1 Ivy League).

Golden made a 3 that pulled Dartmouth even at 45-45 and sparked a 13-0 run capped by Brandon McDonnell’s free throw for a 55-45 lead with 5:49 to play.

Penn trailed 61-51 with 3 minutes to play and made back-to-back turnovers that ended its comeback hopes.

Fran Dougherty had 19 points and nine rebounds for Penn (8-9, 1-2). Dougherty was 8 of 9 from the field and the Quakers were 19 of 37, but they could not overcome 18 turnovers.
