PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles had a great season, but did not win it all. Their mascot however, is flying high.

In a poll commissioned by Subway restaurants, 25% of women voted that Swoop is the football mascot they’d ‘most want to be,’ the highest percentage of any mascot in the NFL. Perhaps it’s his perceived ability to fly, or maybe just his striking good looks. Whatever it is, Swoop is the best of the bunch.

Close on Swoop’s heels at 22% is Pat the Patriot, followed by the 49ers mascot, Sourdough Sam at 21%. The overall vote, including both men and women, saw a tie at the top, with 24% going to both Swoop and Sam.

Subway restaurants recently implemented this survey with Market Probe International to learn how consumers will enjoy Sunday’s Big Game. The survey polled 1,000 males and females representative of the U.S. population ages 18 to 54.

As for their favorite real person performing on Sunday… it’s not Peyton Manning. It’s not Richard Sherman. It’s not Russell Wilson or Marshawn Lynch. In fact, it’s not a football player at all. 38% of all respondents said halftime performer Bruno Mars is their favorite person performing on Sunday.
