Philadelphia's Largest No-kill Shelter Urgently Needs Fosters, Adopters

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's largest no-kill animal shelter has issued an urgent plea for foster and adopters.

"We urgently need to rescue dogs who are waiting at Philadelphia's over-full animal control shelter, but we won't have room for them until we find homes for the ones we already have," PAWS wrote on its Facebook page on Wednesday. "Our most urgent need is for fosters and adopters for medium-to-large dogs who can benefit from basic obedience and manners training."

While the pups at PAWS are safe, the organization says it needs to find homes for them as soon as possible in order to bring in new animals from Philadelphia's kill shelters.

Anyone who can help foster or rescue an animal is asked to email dogs@phillypaws.org.
