Delco Woman Celebrates The Century Mark With Loved Ones

BRYN MAWR, Pa. (CBS) – Friends and family members gathered around Alice Quay Sunday to help her celebrate a very special birthday.

Mrs. Quay turned 100-years-young and was the guest of honor at a party at Rosemont Presbyterian Village in Bryn Mawr, Delaware County where she resides. The celebration featured a 100th Birthday cake and lots of hugs and kisses.

Born in 1914, Mrs. Quay is described by family members as a warm and caring woman who has devoted her life to her family and caring for those around her. Among the joys of her life are her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Fellow residents and family members say Mrs. Quay, in addition to all her daily activities in her community, loves playing Scrabble and is recognized as the undisputed champion of the word game among those who have dared to challenge her and met defeat.
