Thieves Steal Tires Off Cars In South Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating after the tires were stolen off two parked in South Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

This happened sometime overnight on the 1000 block of Bigler Street.

Authorities say the thieves took the tires and rims off the cars. Afterward, the crooks left plastic crates underneath the cars.

“I feel sick to my stomach,” Christy Foti, who had her tires stolen, told CBS3 Eyewitness News. “It’s never going to stop. They just keep doing it and getting away with it.”

Neighbors say there’s been a rash of tire thefts in recent months, and there have been no arrests just yet.
