Police ID Woman Found Dead In Wildlife Preserve
STEVENS, Pa. (AP) — A woman whose body was found in a central Pennsylvania wildlife preserve has been identified as an eastern Pennsylvania woman missing since last month.
The Lancaster County coroner's office said dental records were used to identify the victim as 23-year-old Ashley Kline of Robesonia.
Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said Kline, who was last seen Dec. 30 in the Berks County borough, had suffered "substantial trauma." He earlier ruled the death a homicide.
Hikers found her body late Sunday afternoon at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Clay Township (see previous story).
Kline's aunt, Penny Monteleone, said she left her father's home saying she was going to a girlfriend's house and never returned.
Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman has said jurisdiction of the case will depend on where Kline was killed.
