Childproof Your Christmas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Christmas is a great day to go out and see the family and I don't have to tell you that, for children, this is a day of hyperactivity and excitement. All of this can be wonderful but it can be a recipe for disaster if you are not watching the children closely.

For instance, with toddlers there is always the threat of choking due to small objects.

Think about batteries. Christmas morning is a time to load the batteries in toys but it is easy to leave extras around, like those small button batteries.

Another example, has grandma's house been child protected? Think of all of the potential problems.

Obviously, there is no way to anticipate all problems…just be vigilant and remember this is unlike most other days.
