Two Delaware Valley Holiday Shows Make A National Top-10 List

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two Philadelphia-area holiday shows have made a national "Top Holiday Shows" list.

"Meet Me in St. Louis: A Live Radio Play," is one of those on the list compiled by MainStreet.com.  The show, being presented at the Bucks County Playhouse through December 29th, is based on "The Kensington Stories," by Sally Benson, and the MGM motion picture Meet Me In St. Louis, starring Judy Garland.

In the show,  set in a 1940s, a radio play is taking place, complete with live commercials and a lot more.

"Lots of singing and dancing," says Lauren Molina, one of the leads.   "It's fast and funny and a really great, new twist on a holiday classic."

Molina plays mutiple roles in the production and can change her voice in a split second.

(in character:) "Tootie Smith is seven years old, and she's really into Halloween and she really loves to be scary and she loves to play pranks on people.  And then she gets a little cr-r-r-a-a-a-azy!"  (Then, adopting a brogue:)  "I also play Katie, the Irish maid."
