ABINGTON, Pa. (CBS) — Police in Abington are looking for leads as they try to track down the Grinch who stole some Christmas presents from a car last week.

Hundreds of dollars’ worth of gifts and other items that were supposed to be donated to Goodwill for the holidays were taken from a car in the Noble section of Abington Township last Tuesday.

Then, over the weekend,  another car was broken into, but at this point police believe only a pair of sunglasses was taken.

Authorities say the thief may be targeting cars that were left unlocked and with items inside that were visible from the street.

Police are not sure whether these two recent incidents are related to another theft earlier this month.   They say a man reported that a telescope he left on his front porch on the same block was taken.
