PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who has been missing from a shelter for over a week.

Police Special Victims Unit says 47-year-old Clarence David Shuford has developmental and physical disabilities and requires daily medication. He lives at the Fernwood Shelter near the intersection of State Road and Rhawn Street. He was last seen leaving Torresdale-Aria Hospital last Wednesday. Shuford is described as a black man, 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with a medium build and a medium complexion.

He is bald and clean shaven and was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tans boots.

Police say Shuford is known to frequent the area around North 22nd and Cambria streets.

Anyone with information on him is urged to call the Special Victims Care Unit at 215-685-3251.
