UPDATE: Amber Alert Cancelled, Child Found Safe

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) ---Pennsylvania State Police issued an Amber Alert for a girl who was abducted in Carbon County on Saturday.

Around 6:30 p.m. Kyleigh Simcsuk, 4, was abducted from Delaware Avenue in Palmerton, PA.

Police say the child was abducted by Timothy Simcsuk, 25, described as a white male, 5'8", with brown hair and brown eyes.

The abduction occurred after he assaulted the child's caregiver, and he fled the scene with the child in a dark green minivan.

Around 11pm Saturday night, Palmerton Police reported that Timothy Simcsuk had been placed into custody near Quakertown.

Police say Kyleigh Simcsuk is fine.
