PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Arctic air with make for a frigid Friday, the morning will be the coldest of the season, in the teens even in Philadelphia.

But all eyes are focused on Saturday when our next storm arrives.

A low pressure system is bringing rain to Texas and will drop snow over Illinois and Ohio Friday evening.

Snow will arrive in the Delaware Valley late Saturday morning/early afternoon. 1-3” of snow is possible in Philadelphia and along the I-95 corridor, before mixing with rain. Mainly rain is expected South & East, with 3-6” of snow possible north and west, before warmer air brings a mix.

There are still questions regarding the track and strength of the storm, which with ultimately determine the type and amount of precipitation.

Stay connected with CBS3 and CBSphilly.com, we will have more details Friday!
