PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The stories of the Sports Illustrated Jinx are many. Players that find themselves on the cover of the legendary magazine have a habit of failure in the immediate future after the issue comes out.

Nick Foles is on this week’s issue, and with the hot streak he and the Eagles are on, no one wants any part of that jinx.

Thankfully, head coach Chip Kelly isn’t concerned.

“I don’t believe in it,” Kelly said of the jinx when asked by reporters on Wednesday.

Foles leads the NFL in quarterback passer rating, and has thrown 20 touchdown passes against just one interception.

Foles entered the season as backup to Michael Vick, and got his first start when Vick left a game against the Giants with a hamstring strain. The rest is history, as Foles has remained starter even when Vick has been healthy.
