By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Many air travelers arrived at the airport early this morning, hoping to get a head start on the snow.

Victoria Lupica, spokesperson for Philadelphia International Airport says travelers have several ways to check on a flight's status, "We urge all travelers to contact their airline, or visit our website, PHL.org, or call our toll-free flight information number 1-800-PHL-GATE, for up-to-date arrival and departure information."

Lupica, spokesperson for Philadelphia International Airport, says there are several ways to check on the status of your flight, "We also have a free cell phone waiting lot. If you find that you're traveling to the airport to pick someone up, that parking lot has three flight information display monitors in it. So we urge everyone to be careful, cautious, and contact your airline."

Courtney Netta hopes to get back to Tampa Bay, Florida, "We're going home to Tampa finally. We were set to go home on Sunday and we were cancelled because of the weather. So, we came back yesterday on standby and we could not get out. So, we ended up spending the night in a hotel last night. And now we're hoping to get home before the 4-6 inches comes."
