Man Charged With Robbing Asian-owned South Philly Businesses Officially Charged

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The man accused of robbing Asian-owned businesses in South Philadelphia has officially been charged.

Nineteen-year-old Tishon Jones, of the 2100 block of 4th Street, was arrested on Thursday afternoon after a worker at the Terryin Restaurant reportedly stabbed him during an attempted robbery.

Police say that's the third time the suspect attempted to rob the restaurant, in addition to robbing the nearby Lin's Grocery Store and South View Pizza.

Jones is now facing charges of multiple robberies and related offenses.
