One ‘Grinch’ Arrested For Stealing Christmas Decorations In South Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police have arrested one suspect for stealing Christmas decorations.

The incident happened on November 26th outside a home in the 1100 block of Fitzgerald Street in South Philadelphia.

Forty-five-year-old Marie Amari was arrested at her home in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Surveillance video captures Amari approaching the home at about 2:15 a.m. She took several Christmas decorations before casually walking away.

About an hour later, Amari, this time accompanied by a male, approached the home and swiped several more Christmas decorations. The duo then fled the scene.

Amari has been charged with charged with criminal conspiracy, theft-unlawful taking and theft-receiving stolen property.
