Father Offers $100K For Missing Son's Return

By Ileana Diaz

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--He's a musician by trade and 22-year-old Yaron Bernstein, who goes by Yari, is missing.

His father Jeffrey Bernstein says, "Each day is difficult to get through not knowing if he's alive."

He was on North 3rd Street in Northern Liberties three weeks ago visiting friends and that is where he was last seen getting into an unknown car.

"He said to them he'd be back in 30 minutes and never returned."

Since then, Yari's phone has been off, no credit cards are being used and there are no signs of him on social media.

His father comments,"Your mind races all over the place."

Eyewitness News has been told Yari does have a wild side.

His father says his son isn't into hard drugs, but does have a history with marijuana.

"When you get involved with that and money, you could never tell where that could lead."

His father believes Yari didn't disappear on his own and to find him, Jeff Bernstein has extra help from close friends.

"Ten of them said count me in for 10,000 dollars."

So he's offering a $100,000 reward to anyone that can bring his son home safely.

"I am blessed to be able to have access to people to get behind the effort."

And while Jeffrey Bernstein is hoping the big reward will help find answers, he's praying for all parents who are in this situation.

"It's a living nightmare that you would never expect to happen to you."

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video of the area where Yari was last seen.
