2 Women Shot While Sitting On Porch In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Police in Wilmington say two women have been shot after they were caught in crossfire while sitting on a porch.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Monday on the 600 block of W. 6th Street in the city.

Police say one of the women was struck in the buttocks while the other was wounded in the thigh. The two are in stable condition at Christiana Hospital.

Authorities believe the women were sitting on the porch of a home when two unknown suspects began shooting at each other. The women were then caught in the gunfire exchange.

Police say a man in a gray-hooded sweatshirt got into a car and drove away.
