PHILADELPHIA (CBS)–The shopping madness of Black Friday is behind us, but here comes the next shopping milestone, not Cyber Monday but Cyber Sunday!
Brent Shelton is the online shopping expert for FatWallet, an online comparison shopping website. He says many online shopping specials will start on Sunday for a lot of larger retailers.
“It’s kind of like the Black Friday creep that we saw this year. We’re gonna see a little bit of Cyber Monday creep and the biggest reason that we’re seeing a lot of this early attention is because we have a week shorter in the shopping season.”
He says last year Cyber Monday was the biggest on-line shopping day in history, with a record $1.5 billion dollars in sales.
Shelton says last Sunday, half of a billion dollars in on lines sales were recorded.
He expects this Sunday will kick it up another notch.
