PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Award-winning soprano Ailyn Pérez has strong ties to Philadelphia. Now, she's returning to the city on Tuesday, December 17th - live in concert at the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater.

Miles Cohen

"Since her graduation from the Academy of Vocal Arts in 2006, her career has just blossomed," says Miles Cohen, the Artistic Director at the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society.

If you find yourself stressing out about the holidays this time of year, Cohen says this concert might be just the thing: It's a reminder about what's really important.

"The whole theme of the program is love. Love songs, love arias -- she's singing very famous arias from Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro,' Verdi's 'La Traviata,' and from Massenet's 'Manon.'"
