Mural Arts Program Introduces Moving Mural On SEPTA Train Car

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a mobile mural. A train car on the Market-Frankford El is wrapped with student art as part of the city's Mural Arts Program.
Artist Benjamin Volta worked with kids from Waring Elementary to create a multicolored mural of nerve cells.
"The title of the piece is, 'We are all neurons.' And it's really kind of seeing how we're all connected as a city, our thoughts are connected inside our head and we're all connected together to each other," Volta explains.
The design is now wrapped around a SEPTA El train. It's not the first mural that moves, says Mural Arts Program executive director Jane Golden.
"Several years ago we started a series called 'Design in Motion,' and as you know, we wrapped a fleet of recycling trucks. And then we did lunch trucks, and that was really exciting, and now a train!"
SEPTA says the wrapped El car will be in service for about three months.
