Duren Sparks Rally As La Salle Beats Siena 78-74

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tyreek Duren scored 20 points, with 14 of those coming in the final eight minutes as La Salle rallied back to defeat Siena 78-74 Saturday.

The Explorers (2-1) trailed by eight points midway through the second half before closing the game on a 22-10 run.

Duren made a layup that was answered by a jumper from Evan Hymes. Duren then hit two straight 3-pointers and netted another layup to tie the score at 66.

A Jerrell Wright dunk gave La Salle the lead and Duren scored a jumper to extend it to four.

Following a Brett Bisping layup, D.J. Peterson had a three-point play. Duren and Sam Mills each made two late free throws to keep La Salle on top.

Duren was one of four Explorers in double figures as Wright finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Mills added 13.

Rob Poole led the Saints (0-3) with 20 points.
