Wilmington School Bus Crash Sends 9 Children To Hospital

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS)—A school bus was involved in a car accident Friday morning around 7:05 a.m.

The accident occurred at W. 4th and N. Lincoln Streets in Wilmington.  A Nissan Versa struck the back of the bus as it was traveling through an intersection.

The driver of the Nissan was 27-year-old Matthew Backer, of Wilmington.

Nine children, ages 9-14, were transported to A.I. DuPont Hospital. All of their injuries were minor.

Police are investigating the crash.
