Alleged 'Rocky' Steps Driver Charged, Ordered To Stay Away From Art Museum

By Paul Kurtz, Jenn Bernstein

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 20-year-old man has been charged with reckless endangerment for allegedly driving down the Art Museum steps (see related story). The man turned himself in to police Thursday night.

Emin Faki has been arraigned on a single misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment. He has been released on his own recognizance and the judge has ordered Faki to stay away from the Art Museum.

His next court appearance will be December 18th.

Faki is accused of taking a joy ride down the museum steps three weeks ago.

However, he contends it wasn't a stunt at all, but rather the brakes of his BMW failed and the car started to roll down the steps -- he was trying to rescue it.
