"Code Blue" Cold Weather Declared In Montgomery County

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS)--Based on a review of forecasts from the National Weather Service, the Montgomery County Commissioners have declared a Cold Blue Cold Weather Emergency for Montgomery County.

The Code Blue Declaration begins at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night and lasts until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cold Blue Cold Weather Declarations are made when weather poses a threat of serious harm to those without shelter.  It is declared when the combination of air temperature and wind chill is expected to be 20 degrees or less.
