Pedestrian Struck On City Avenue; Police Search For Driver

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Wynnefield.

Investigators say the incident happened at City and Cardinal Avenues, near Saint Joseph's University.

According to investigators, a tan four-door vehicle with front end damage was last seen heading towards 54th Street.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  There is no word on the victim's condition at this time.

Accident investigators are on scene.
